What I Think Each Zodiac Sign Means, Based On The Name

Dear JAMMers,
Birth charts, the sun, the moon. I don’t know much about astrology, but I do know that some people take it really, really seriously. Some might argue…too seriously. So, to lighten things up, I thought I would give my take on what I think each of the 12 signs mean, based solely on the name.
Aries: I know there’s a Greek god with the name Aries, but I know it has nothing to do with astrology. But that’s all I got, so…
My Guess: An Aries is someone who has a special power like a Greek god (i.e. someone who can change the weather, shapeshift, etc.)
Taurus: Somehow, I do know this symbol is a bull. (One point for Nicole)
My Guess: Taurus’ are people who are at risk of running into a red cape if someone nearby is waving one.
Gemini: I’ve heard Geminis are on the crazier side, but I don’t exactly know why. The word “gem” is in the name, so that must explain it.
My Guess: Geminis can’t be trusted because they steal gems and jewels.
Cancer: I’m not sure I should touch this one.
My Guess:
Leo: This is a man’s name.
My Guess: Leos are men.
Virgo: The word “virgin” obviously comes to mind, so that must be the root of it.
My Guess: Virgos are people who are current or former virgins.
Libra: It’s giving “library.”
My Guess: Libras are bookworms who love the feel of a leather-bound book and judge people who use Kindles.
Scorpio: Of course spiders have to be involved here in some capacity.
My Guess: Scorpios are people who can communicate with spiders like Harry Potter can speak to snakes.
Sagittarius: The name itself sounds a bit pretentious.
My Guess: A Sagittarius is someone who begins every sentence with, “Actually…”
Capricorn: It feels like the younger cousin of the word “cornucopia.”
My Guess: Capricorns are descendents of the pilgrims who celebrated the first Thanksgiving.
Aquarius: Aqua…Blue…Water?
My Guess: An Aquarius is someone who has the ability to turn into a mermaid. (Ok maybe I’m just thinking of the movie Aquamarine)
Pisces: This is my sign, so...
My Guess: A Pisces is the greatest person you’ll ever meet.
